Russ is the 1st of my 2 Immortalmal rooster sculptures. I’m drawn to roosters, particularly after spending half a month in a Cuban house where, outside, I would routinely feed and watch the chickens & a regal rooster. Maybe it’s how their feathers make them seem twice as large, maybe it’s their fleshy crest that waddles on top of their head, or maybe it’s how they appear to run around without arms.
